Legal Disputes & Arbitration Valuation — FAQs
Can a registered valuer's report be used in court?
Yes. A valuation by an IBBI Registered Valuer sets out the basis of value, method, assumptions and evidence, which allows it to be relied on and examined in litigation and arbitration. The valuer can also support the report through clarifications where required.
How is property divided fairly in a partition valuation?
The valuer values the whole property and, where needed, each proposed share separately — considering frontage, access, road width and usable area — so that the parties or the court can arrive at an equitable division.
